
Cathy Cassidy went to art college in Liverpool before getting a job as fiction editor on Jackie magazine.
She taught art in a Coventry secondary school for a few years and worked as an agony aunt for Shout magazine before moving to Scotland with her husband to start a family.
She has two children and they live in a cottage in the Galloway hills in Scotland with sheep and cows for neighbours.
Her books, which include Indigo Blue, Sundae Girl and Lucky Star, have sold over 700,000 copies in the UK alone.
Last year Cathy published her first book in the Daizy Star series, written especially for little sisters or as a mini read for her existing fans.
