The nominations you sent in were so heartfelt and brilliant to read that we decided to publish a selection of our favourites here. Read on to see if your nomination has been featured!
I have chosen Cathy Hopkins because every time I see a book of hers I run to my mum and beg her to get me it. I love her books but haven't been able to read many (thanks to poor choice at my local library). I would most definitely like to read lots more and I love all her characters. I of course love Lucy from the Mates Dates series because there are some things she does that make me laugh and make me cry. Their lives are pretty hectic and I love that. Also if you've only just started reading the books and you've missed loads of the story it'll fill you in and tell you what they're like.

She is an inspiring author, who is descriptive of her characters and gives them each an interesting individual personality. She seems like a confident and interesting person, just like some of the characters in her books. Most of the people in her stories, teenagers can relate and compare themselves to. She is very good at getting in to the mind of a teenager. I nominated her because her books are interesting and sometimes funny and completely grab me in after the first page. I couldn't put any of her books down .She also seems a fun and young at heart type of person which I think a child at any age would like. I think she deserves to win this award as she is a hardworking person who seems to love and enjoy what she does and I know that she will have many more books published before she decides to stop writing.

Cathy is a fantastic author, because she has the skill to make the story sound real and interesting at the same time. Her books are about teenagers and I can really relate to all of her characters. Cathy describes the settings and the behaviour of the characters so that we as the reader actually feel as though we are there with them. Cathy is one of my favourite authors; she can engross you in her books within the first page, once you have started reading them you can't stop unless you finish the whole book. Cathy has written many series of books, I have two complete series as they lead on from one another well and I really enjoy reading them, I could easily spend a lot of time reading them all over again. Cathy writes about real places instead of make believe, which makes her books a lot more interesting. I have also written to Cathy telling her how much I have enjoyed her books, and she has actually written back to thank me, which is more than I can say for most writers. This is why I am nominating Cathy Hopkins to be crowned Queen of Teen.

The Mates Dates books are the best series I have ever read in my life. I love all the characters and the way that Cathy describes them. They are all different yet it shows how the strengths and weaknesses help them all. Although some of the situations I don't think I will ever find myself in, some of them will help me in later life. And there are lessons to learn. Cathy Hopkins is the best author by far and I love all her books. The Truth Dare Kiss Promise books are good as well because I can really picture the seaside town and the places in it. I would not be surprised if all the characters actually lived there.

Cathy Hopkins has written heaps of interesting teen books. She is very descriptive in her writing and has a wonderful imagination. They also help teens out with some of the problems they are having in life. Every book that I have read of hers I couldn't put down until I finished it. I have chosen this author because she captures the reader's attention, is a wonderful role model and is one of my favourite authors so far in my teen years. Also a lot of teens at my school agree that she is a good author because whenever we go into a book store we first head to Cathy's books. I love all the series she has written from Mates Dates to the Truth, Dare, Kiss, Promise series - I love them all!
