Penguins. They're so funny.

Narrow mindedness. Racism. Prejudice. Injustice. People who talk through movies in the cinema.
People who don't reply to emails and phone calls. I should be on that TV show Grumpy Old Women.
3. Describe your favourite outfit.
Eastern style. Long silk top over loose trousers and scarf.

The Philadelphia Story.

Better a life of risk and chance than an old age of vain regret.

Ten minutes.

Neither. My weakness is for scarves. I have a ton of them.

Neither. I'm a savoury kinda gal.
10. What were you like as a teenager?
A well behaved rebel. Smarmy git, others might say.
11. Do you enjoy writing for teens?
My teens were a very happy time. And I like teenagers. They make me laugh and think. It's a great age of highs and lows - mind you, when does that ever change?
12. Which of your characters do you identify with most?
Izzie. A seeker. Restless. Aquarius. Mad.
13. Did your time in Kenya give you any inspiration for your books?
Having to move schools when my family travelled abroad gave me inspiration for the character of India Jane in the Cinnamon Girl series.
14. What are your top tips on being a teenager?
Cherish your friends, they can last a lifetime. Be yourself. Celebrate the good things.
15. What do you think is the worst thing about being a teenager?
Lack of confidence sometimes. And lack of freedom, you're growing up fast but still have to answer to your parents and their rules.
Also, having to make big decisions about goals and what you want to be when you're still finding out who you are. And exams. You have to work very hard.
16. Do you ever get any ideas for your books from your fans?
All the time. I get lots of requests to write about all sorts of subjects from bullying, to weight problems, boys, first dates, pressure to smoke,
drink, put out. I try to cover all of the subjects asked for.
