Karen McCombie has such a witty way of writing things and has a fantastic sense of humour. She can come up with funny characters that I can totally relate to. She writes so realistically and I can imagine that that the things she writes could happen to me but that doesn't make it boring that she writes about everyday things because she can inject her brilliant sense of humour into it and it just comes...well...you could say it almost comes alive. Her series Ally's World was the work of a genius! It was so funny in parts I couldn't do anything but laugh out loud. She deserves the title Queen of Teen without a doubt as she's funny and can write things you can really relate to.

I have chosen Karen as my favourite author as she writes the most amazing books around. She does teenage humour well, and you can really relate to her characters. She writes in a way that you forget she’s an adult and you do actually think she’s a teenage girl, facing the problems of family, friends and just random queries. My favourite books of hers are the Stella etc. series. To be quite honest they are awesome and a must-have for any girl. I think that she deserves the Queen of Teen title, as she’s brightened up many a rainy day with her fantastic books! :)

I have chosen this author because I have read every single one of her books and really enjoyed all of them and I have never found that with any other author at all. One thing that I love about her books is that they are always unputdownable and I have often stayed up all night because I wanted to know what happened at the end of the book. Another reason that I would nominate her would be because her books are sometimes about what happens in the real world and they are very down to earth.

I have been reading Karen's books for at least six years now, I think I first picked up an Ally book when I was 12. I feel as if the character is speaking directly to me, when reading her books. She writes so many different genres (mystery and realistic and quirky). Karen handles a lot of important issues in both her series and one-off books (such as single parents, siblings who argue, divorce, friendship probs, imaginary friends, and other issues teens face). She handles the delicate issues in a funny, not-harsh-but-not-patronizing way. When a book is finished, you cannot wait for the next.

I really like the Ally’s World books she writes. The feelings and the thoughts are really effective. She makes the feelings really deep so you kind of know how it feels. She describes the people really well so that you can imagine and see it in your mind. The books are really well illustrated and they are just the best books ever. If she were nominated it would be really good because people love these books that she writes because of the deep feelings. If someone else wrote a book like that they couldn't do it like Karen does!!! She deserves to be the QUEEN OF TEEN!!!!!!!
