Louise Rennison... how can I describe her? For the past two years I have been absorbed in her books; what sets her apart from all the other authors in this competition is her style of writing. The style of the Georgia Nicolson books are unexplainable, amazing and only understandable to those who read it and truly appreciate it. Since reading these books, my life has truly brightened up and I have actually adopted her writing style in my journal and also in my everyday speaking and vocabulary. I feel truly close to the characters of her books; I own the whole series and treasure them with all my heart... my friends know I am obsessed and some think I'm mad, but I know I'm not mad to be obsessed with these truly amazing books. So, to finish off, I hope I have convinced more people to read this genius series and I nominate Louise Rennison to win the Queen of Teens award.

Louise Rennison is a fabulous author who portrays teenage life through the eyes of the very loveable character Georgia Nicolson. She includes the ups and downs of life for a teenager with very wacky characters. It makes you realise that your life isn't half as bad as you think and it could DEFINITELY be more embarrassing. Her books are laugh out loud and my friends and I are always counting down to the release of the next book. I am positive that Louise Rennison is a worthy winner for the Queen of Teen and she deserves the title after providing many a teenage girl with hours of laughter.

Because Louise Rennison's books got me through my teenage years. And still are. Even the titles can lighten my mood. So funny that I have nearly weed myself several times, and yet at times so poignant that you can't help but stop and think about it. When I was younger I put Georgia's activities down to fiction, but soon found that there was a lot of advice, wrapped in humour and irony, in her books. I once saw her give a reading from one of the books, and she gave it more life than anyone else could. Like I said, her books got me through my teenage years. And still are.

I need to thank Louise Rennison for helping to foster the impression that I am truly mad! Whenever a new title is due out I trail around after Mum, begging to go to the bookshop and grab myself the first copy from the shelves. I have been known to have a temper tantrum when refused - ugly I know, but necessary. I then sit in my room (or at the dinner table, or on the loo, or on the school bus...) laughing out loud. Truly madly brill - that’s all I have to say...

I have chosen Louise Rennison because her Georgia Nicolson books are hilarious. I have read all the books and each one has brought another evening of laughter and has kept me up until four in the morning unable to put the book down. Not a lot of people I know read anymore but these books are some of the few that I am able to talk to friends about and have a laugh. Georgia Nicolson is amazingly like every teenager in some way and reading the books you really do get to know her and become part of the story. Brilliant author with brilliant books.

I am nominating Louise Rennison for the simple reason that her books are probably the funniest things I have ever read! The Confessions of Georgia Nicolson are brilliantly written in the style of a teenage girl and have had me rolling on the floor they are so funny. It takes a lot for an adult to be able to write in a way that girls like me can relate to so well, her and another author called Joanna Nadin are probably the only authors I have ever seen do it. Her books have also created a new dictionary that girls worldwide use, they've done very well in the U.K and the U.S. Put plainly, I and many others love the books and can never wait for the next instalment! She's an amazing author who can quite literally make you fall over from laughing so hard!
