The nominations you sent in were so heartfelt and brilliant to read that we decided to publish a selection of our favourites here. Read on to see if your nomination has been featured!
Desperation. I nominate Meg Cabot because of desperation. The desperation to read the next word, turn the next page or buy the next book. Because you don't read a Meg Cabot book, you live it. You become the Suzannah, Ellie, Jessica or Mia of the book and you become desperate. Desperate to know if Rob, Jesse or Will love you back, and when you know, their happily ever after becomes your happily ever after. So much so that you find yourself so idiotically happy even your toes tingle with joy. That’s why I nominate Meg Cabot, her uncanny ability to put my heart in my throat, or tears in my eyes or make my heart bubble over with joy. For although Meg Cabot is not responsible for my love of literature (I have always had that love), she is responsible for making me love her literature.

This author is one of my favourite authors of all times. This is because she writes the most amazing books. All of her books that I have read have been amazing, especially The Princess Diaries and How to be Popular. All of them are could-be true-life stories even if they are fictional. Every single time I read them, even if I know them off by heart, the feeling, surprise and shock comes back to me every time. How she does it, I don't know, but Meg Cabot gets it right every time. From little problems to big, she solves them all at the end. She is the best author of all time for teen books.

I have chosen Meg Cabot because her stories are everything I want to read, they are funny, serious, romantic, girly, clever, but most of all, in nearly every single book she has written I can relate to the problems that occur. Meg Cabot is wonderful for your average teenage girl, for me personally reading these books has helped me face the world by knowing how the characters have reacted, it has made me understand what being a teenage girl is. Anyway every book she writes never fails to wow me.

An amazing, inspirational author, who manages to write very witty stories with a heart: whenever I'm down, just by picking up one of her (many!) books, I get a smile back on my face! She keeps her stories light-hearted and humorous, but with a deeper underlying message about the importance of friendship, enjoying life and many other issues, including more trivial (but still very important!) matters such as boys! Her characters are all extremely likeable, realistic and relatable, and perfect for any teenage girl - and even for adults! I think her books are the type that will never grow old: decades from now, I really think they deserve to be just as popular as they are now. However, it is not only her fantastic writing skills that make Meg Cabot the perfect Queen of Teen - she is constantly interacting with her audience, be it posting quizzes, blogs and pictures or writing letters, which allows her many fans to get to know the face behind the words. To sum her up: the definition of chic-lit!! If anyone deserves this award, it's her.

Not only did I grow up with Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries, but all of Cabot's books have really inspired me as a young woman and as an avid reader. Her books are hilariously funny, always cheer me up and confront issues and experiences that every teenage girl goes through. I recommend her to all my friends, and I am very proud to say that I own every single one of her books!
