I have chosen this author for many different reasons. I wasn't a very big fan of reading a couple of years back, and I was told to read books because it would be 'exciting' and 'fascinating'. I still didn't want to. Approximately one month ago, I was told by a friend of mine to read Twilight, one of Stephanie Meyer's books. I was so interested by the dramatic love story emphasised in this book. It showed the extreme limits these two teenagers go through to be with the one they love. The next book in the series is called New Moon, which portrays a young woman in no contact with the one man she loves. The final book so far in the series is called Eclipse, which shows the extreme danger this young girl has to go through to adapt to the fact that her boyfriend, or fiancé is a vampire. All the books have a range of descriptive features and entertaining drama. Stephanie Meyer is dedicated to her books and makes every minute of reading them exciting. I await the release of the fourth book in the series, Breaking Dawn, very eagerly. The book for me, a girl who loves fairytales and fantasies, is a major success. I can imagine everything going on in my head. I feel part of the story which shows her writing is one of a kind. She makes me smile, for her writing expresses love, and friendship. I always get drawn into the vampire/werewolf world and it's just amazing.

I have chosen this author as her books are exciting and thought-provoking, and she addresses real-life teenage issues, yet mixes them with a combination of magic and myths. The Twilight series were some of the best books I have read, they are fast-paced and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and still allowed me to make strong emotional bonds with the characters, leading to suspenseful and impatient waits between books! I was the first person in my class to read them, and recommended them to all of my classmates, now over half the class has read them!

I have chosen to nominate Stephenie Meyer because she has single-handedly raised millions of girls’ hopes about love. Edward Cullen is the perfect boy - he makes girls look for more than what they would normally accept and even though they know he isn't actually possible [which is a shame] they can hope for someone who is better than what they would put up with. When reading one of her books teenage girls and boys alike are transported to a different world where anything is possible. Even mums steal the books so they can be taken there too! Stephenie Meyer will go down in history as making vampires sexy and will live on in so many girls’ memories. I hope she wins so more girls can make their expectations higher and girls and boys alike can keep enjoying her books.

I'm nominating Stephenie Meyer because she is an author who has produced a series that in the U.S.A has outranked Harry Potter and is an international best seller. I am talking, if you don't know, about the fantastic Twilight series (currently being made into films); the main theme of the book is about a normal teenage girl, Bella Swan, who falls in love with Edward Cullen, a vampire. It's not a stereotypical vampire book though, it is overall a romance that should be forbidden trying to survive against race, death, jealousy, hate and pain. No teenager can actually read the Twilight series without falling in love with the character of the dazzling, lonely, soulful Edward Cullen or the playful, bitter, funny Jacob Black (a werewolf). The books deal with thrills as well as everyday teen stuff! Stephenie Meyer's books are addictive, funny and sad all in one, and that's why I'm nominating her!

She is one of the most AMAZINGIST, WAAANDERFULIST, GREATEST authors I’ve ever known! To be introduced to one of her books (Twilight) is a blessing, her characters, imagination and words speak for themselves! She is a literary genius, there is absolutely NO competition! Her stories will stay with you forever, even well after you have turned the last page, and I think she is absolutely amazing. And unlike most authors, she is unique, something which most authors can never be. That’s what separates her from the rest, that’s what makes her different and that’s why she should win this award!
